I love that this clearly ultra-low-budget production does not give a damn that “Frankenstein,” being the inventor’s name, isn’t really something that should be pluralized or used to name the monsters directly. Because it sounds so wrong as to be right.
Plus the fact that it wasn’t enough to just make a movie called Army of Frankensteins – it had to be set during the Civil War and involve time travel as well, because goodness knows you need those budgetary challenges.
And it’s riding the coattails of recent Lincoln movies without actually mentioning him in the title – just the tagline.
